Privacy
Your information, handled with the same care as the room.
This page explains what CI3 collects through The Plat4m, why, where it is stored, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
Who we are
CI3 operates The Plat4m and the Curated Leadership Experience (CLE), based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. CI3 is the organization responsible for the personal information collected through this site, and handles it in line with Canadian federal privacy law (PIPEDA).
What we collect, and why
- Event registration. Name, email address, current role, organization, LinkedIn profile if you choose to share it, and your circle preference. Used to reserve your seat, confirm payment, place you in a Leadership Circle, and send you essential event information.
- Participant onboarding. Your goals, questions, and any accessibility or dietary notes you share. Used only to prepare your circle experience and accommodate you on the day. Accessibility and dietary notes are never used for anything else.
- Assessments. The Competence Trap Wheel produces its result without asking for your name or email. Both assessments store responses so you can revisit your result; an email address is attached only when you provide one to receive resources or connect the result to your registration.
- Series preview list. Name, email, and the editions you are interested in. Used to tell you when registration opens. Requires your explicit consent, and you can leave the list at any time.
- Payment. Payment is processed entirely by PayPal. CI3 never sees or stores your card details. We record that a payment matching your registration was completed, its amount, and the email PayPal reports, so we can confirm your seat.
- Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Analytics data is not connected to your registration.
- Support assistant. Questions you ask the site's support assistant are processed by an AI provider to generate an answer. Do not include sensitive personal information in support questions.
Where your information lives
Registration and participant information is stored in access-controlled systems used by the CI3 team: our member database and our operations records. Email confirmations are delivered through a transactional email provider. The site is hosted on Netlify. Payments are held by PayPal under their own privacy policy. Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States.
What we never do
- We never sell your information, to anyone.
- We never publish participant information. Public content on this site (editions, faculty, blog) never includes registrant data.
- We never add you to a mailing list you did not ask to join. Essential registration emails and the lists you opt into are the only email you receive.
How long we keep it
Registration and onboarding information is kept through the event cycle it belongs to and for a reasonable period afterwards for follow-up you have consented to, records, and research in anonymized form. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can withdraw consent for follow-up communication at any time. To make any of these requests, reply to any email CI3 has sent you, or use the support assistant on this site to leave a request; we respond to all of them.
Changes
When this page changes in a way that matters, the date above changes with it, and registered participants are told directly if the change affects them.
