Terms of participation
Clear terms make a better room.
These are the terms that apply when you register for a CI3 Curated Leadership Experience. They are short on purpose.
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Registration and payment
- A seat in a CI3 edition is confirmed by two things together: a completed registration form and a completed registration contribution.
- The minimum registration contribution for the November 2026 edition is $49.99 CAD. There is no cap above the minimum if you choose to contribute more.
- All registration contributions are non-refundable, including if you are unable to attend. If an edition is cancelled by CI3 and not rescheduled, contributions for that edition are returned.
- Your seat is transferable. If you cannot attend, you may pass your place to someone else, or hold it for the next edition, at no charge. Email us with the name and email address of whoever is taking your place, up to 48 hours before the edition begins. After that the room and the circles are set. A seat may be transferred once.
- Payment is processed by PayPal under PayPal's own terms. CI3 does not collect or store card details.
- Payment confirmation is applied automatically after PayPal confirms that your payment was captured. If automatic matching is unavailable, CI3 will reconcile it within 1 business day.
- One registration per email address per edition.
Circle placement
- Circle placement is curated. Your first and second choices carry real weight, and CI3 makes the final placement so every circle stays balanced and intimate.
- Placement is shared with you before the event. If your placement does not work for you, tell us and we will look at it with you; a specific circle is not guaranteed.
The room
- Leadership Circles work because people speak honestly. What is shared by participants inside a circle stays in the circle unless the person who said it says otherwise.
- CI3 may capture photography and recordings of general event moments for archives and storytelling. Circle conversations are not recorded. If you do not wish to appear in photography, tell the team at check-in and we will accommodate it.
- CI3 may remove any participant whose conduct harms the experience of others, without refund.
Assessments and guidance
- The Competence Trap Wheel, the Ethical Drift Compass, and any AI-assisted guidance on this site are reflective and educational tools. They are not psychological, medical, financial, or legal advice.
Accountability Community and Momentum Points
- Points are awarded for verified actions under the published task rules. A submission may be declined or returned when the evidence does not meet those rules.
- Momentum Points have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred for money, and are not awarded through chance, lottery, or gambling mechanics.
- Rewards are fixed and subject to the published availability and terms. CI3 may reverse points obtained through duplicate, false, manipulated, or fraudulent submissions.
- Public leaderboard participation is optional. Partner-related data sharing requires separate consent.
Applied Leadership Lab
- The Lab is mentored project-based learning through real CI3 delivery work. It is not employment and does not guarantee paid work, a job, immigration benefit, credential acceptance, or recognition by an employer or professional body.
- Documentation reflects the role, deliverables, hours, contribution, and feedback CI3 can verify. Applications do not guarantee admission, and references or recommendation letters depend on performance.
- Project materials may contain confidential CI3 or participant information. Lab participants must follow the confidentiality, access, and portfolio-publication instructions attached to each project.
Featured authors
- There is no fee to apply to be featured and no fee to be featured. Selection is curated by CI3 for fit with an edition's theme and audience.
- A featured author commits to attending their matched edition in person and signing on the day. If you cannot attend, tell us as early as you can and CI3 will look at matching you to a later edition.
- A featured author supplies copies of their book on site for the signing, and a small number of complimentary signed copies for CI3. Stock levels, pricing, and any sales at the signing are the author's own.
- A featured author actively promotes their matched edition to their own audience. There is no ticket quota and no sales target attached to being featured.
Changes to an edition
- Dates, venue, faculty, and agenda details may change as an edition comes together. Material changes are communicated to registered participants by email.
